Review: Darkling by Brooklyn Ray

Usually when I’m this confused I dnf because why bother? But I still was so very, very hooked!

Closer Quarter’s take on vampires is a new one for me and I really liked it.

This story is so, so great and fun to read with the right amount of creepiness.

I’m not too sure about Nathan on his own. He reads very Gary Sue to me.

May I start with saying how well thought-through this world is?

I think Gray belongs to my top ten book characters, I simply can’t get enough of him.

I loved how many supernatural creatures there were and how each species interacted with the others.

Speaking of perfect: Christine! She is such an amazing character. I wouldn’t have minded if there were a whole book about her

I didn’t feel any connection between them and suddenly they are having sex.

I liked how disgusting some things were as well. A horror novel by this author would be a lot of fun, I’d say.
