rating: 2.5 – The Queer Bookish

Review: Face Off by PJ Trebelhorn

I was so very excited, because Ice Hockey, fake relationship turning real, and a female pairing – I mean, what’s not to love? Apparently a lot.

I loved how many supernatural creatures there were and how each species interacted with the others.

This is a difficult review for me, because I was very excited to be finally able to read Special Delivery

This novella is about an aromantic bisexual woman. YAY by the way.

The story itself is quite interesting but the focus is on sex

The romance left me unmoved and nearly bored to be honest.

It’s more of a summary than a description, I think.

Thinking back, it could have been chapter 1 of a novel… I wouldn’t say no, if it ever gets written into one.

Bonus points for having a scene in which the reader sees Jed as a switch.

If you ignore the first half and concentrate on the second, it gets better.
