Review: Here’s the thing by Emily O’Beirne

Here’s the thing why I love this book (I couldn’t help myself, bear with me):

Somehow it was too much and not enough at the same time.

Anyway. I really dreaded reading, so I didn’t read for three whole days. Even though the writing itself is not horrible or anything.

The way she struggles and how she gets stronger and stronger is really well-written. Bonus points for the slow building friendship and romance.

I liked how disgusting some things were as well. A horror novel by this author would be a lot of fun, I’d say.

This story takes place in a harem, so of course there is quite a sexual atmosphere, but it is not stifling. More playful, really.

This reads like your usual british crime fiction, which I enjoy very much.

I hated Josie and it’s never helpful if you can’t stand the MC.

I was really happy to see a book with a focus an villains

I was really sucked into the world of each different girl and time flew by while I was reading
