Books for my Queer Younger Self

There are many books I would have loved to discover sooner, a few I maybe should have read later – or not all.

Review: Better Than People by Roan Parrish

The description of Simon’s anxiety and how it compares to being shy hit me in the fucking heart and soul.

3 Queer Books I Loved But Never Reviewed

This week’s theme is about books that I loved but never reviewed. Sometimes I enjoy the simple act of reading without taking notes, sometimes I feel like I wouldn’t do the book any justice, and sometimes I plan an reviewing a book. Sometime. In the near future. Or distant future.

Review: Raze by Roan Parrish

I don’t know how but somehow Roan Parrish manages to write a bittersweet love story with just the right amount of heaviness to show how Huey struggles with his addiction and the aftermath without said heaviness closing its fist around your throat.

Review: Dancing with Daddy by Susan Hawke

And as far as I’ve gathered most readers enjoyed Dancing With Daddy very much, so I’m kinda the sore thump here but it’s not like this is the first time – won’t be the last either – and I stand by my opinion.

Blog Tour & Excerpt: Dancing With Daddy by Susan Hawke

A little bit later than anticipated but well worth the wait I’d say. Next week you can expect my review of Dancing With Daddy and I’m really excited to tell you about it. I do have to hint at the rep though, because we don’t only get a bi MC but also a pan MC.

3 Reasons Why I Love Lila Mina

Inspiration isn’t just waiting around the corner. It didn’t wait around the corner with this week’s prompt as well, but I managed to cross over in full blown embarrassment.

Review: Goalie Interference by Avon Gale & Piper Vaughn

Just thinking about him and how he handles his aversion to touch makes me wanna abandon this review and reread the book instead.

Top 9 Things I Need for a Bookish Quarantine “Party”

I miss cozying up with a book and forgetting everything but the story.
So why not try to visualize the perfect setting for me to find my way back into my preferred way of escaping reality?

Review: Vindicta by Lila Mina

I really don’t know how I am supposed to write a coherent review of Vindicta when I’m still flailing, fangirling, and squealing over it three months after having it read.

I am beyond excited to be part of the jury for the #indieinkawards! Of course, I simply had to reserve an #AceRep book and one for #QueerRep. Let the reading and judging begin! I'm starting this year of with the first part of my Book Blogger's #BuJo series. It's been ages since I last wrote a post for my #queerbookblog but I'm using the spirit of #commitmentday to get back into blogging. I sure missed it! Surprisingly, I don't own a lot of #BookMerch but in this case my current #YABook matches the decor. It's been a hot minute since I last took a pic of #QueerBooks I'm reading. Guess I'll start taking those again? [unpaid advertisement] [Unpaid Advertisement] A queer paranormal romance featuring Vietnamese mythology and Fallen Angels – what’s not to like about Of Charms, Ghosts and Grievances? It's been a few years since I last read #queerhistoricalromance A Light Amongst Shadows so I was really sucked into its gentle romance. I did remember a certain scene though so this time I was prepared for the tears. [Unpaid advertisement] is there something better than reading #queerbooks all cuddled up in you favourite blanket while listening to the rain? [unpaid advertisment] This queer #icehockeyromance rather reads like a #musicromance but at least there is #fakedating? Read all about in my review on The Queer Bookish.
