Description: Brent shows up on Corey and Shane’s doorstep in the dead of winter needing a place to stay—and hopeful his mates will provide it, and not mind he’s a frog shifter.

Being a shifter is nothing new to Corey and Shane, but neither is being mates. They’ve been together since before they first met Brent ten years ago—back when Brent was Brenda. Bringing a third into their relationships is more than a little complicated, but they’re willing to try.

But change is always easier said than done, and Brent wonders if he ever really stood a chance at being happy with the men he has always loved and admired.

Review: This book’s description had me hooked. The book itself? Not so much. I was expecting lots of drama, because going into a relationship with a couple, that’s been together for years? That’s complicated, or should be. It didn’t seem complicated to me here.

The sex happens really fast, there are little problems on how to handle the new relationship and… that’s it. There isn’t really a lot happening. If there would have been more show than tell, then maybe I would have liked the relationship/s.

I would have loved if the frog shifter thing (totally new for me by the way) would have received more attention. And maybe explanations, because the parents are wolf-shifters… wolf plus wolf equals sometimes frog? What?

  1. Oooh, an m/m/m with a trans character sounds awesome, and I love mates and shifters. But… frog shifter? That one is weird to me. I like that authors are branching out from the “typical” shifters (wolves/cats), but I’m a bit weirded out by some of the animals they come up with. And yeah, wolf + wolf = frog, what?

Was the writing itself okay? I might still give it a shot if the writing is good, because the concept sounds fun!

    • I thought a frog could be, well, funny, to be honest. Especially if he shows some froggy traits.
I’m not that sure about the trans* part (I’ve got just a little knowledge about trans* issues), so I’m unsure if you can really call him trans*? But oh well…

The writing is totally okay. I’m curious what you’ll think about this book if you end up reading it.
