I don’t know about you, but I don’t buy series as a whole if I don’t know them. I buy the first part and after reading it, I decide if I want the others or not. There are exceptions to this rule of course. I saw the whole Percy Jackson series as a box set for 10€ and I had to buy it!
- Soul Eater Series by Eliza Crewe
I own all the parts but as of now I’ve only read the first and the second part (I am currently reading the third)
- Daughter of Smoke & Bone series by Laini Taylor
Like Soul Eater I own all parts but have read only the first two.
- Penryn & the End of Days series by Susan Ee
I have read the first part and I own the third (because there was a special offer) but the second remains unbought. Hopefully not for long.
- Rincewind series by Terry Pratchett
I own the first five books which deal with Rincewind but I know there are more. And I plan to read them.
- a few series by Raymond Feist
My local bookstore back then had them only occasionally and so I bought what I could find. Some Parts in between I don’t own as of yet, but again, I plan to buy them. And reread the whole series/universe.
- The dwarves by Markus Heitz
I’ve read the first three parts. And then suddenly there was a fourth and now a fifth…
- Traitor Spy series by Trudi Canavan
I own all parts but I have read only the first.
- Maze Runner series by James Dashner
Yes… I dnf-ed the third book but plan to pick it up again some time.
- The Inheritance Cycle series by Christopher Paolini
I’ve read the first book many, many years ago…
- Cirque des Immortales series by A.R. Kahler
I’ve read the… the first. The second I started and I’m not sure if I finished it… I think so?
How about you? Are there finished series you haven’t finished yet?

I just bought the first Cirque des Immortales book the other day! I’ve wanted to read it forever because it combines my two favorite things, reading and circus. I really don’t know why I’ve waited so long. I also just read the Maze Runner series last week, but apparently I didn’t have the same issue everyone else did with the third book because I liked it lol. Here’s my TTT!

Luckily tastes differ, it would be really boring if everyone loves and hates the same things. Thank you for linking to your list.

I didn’t enjoy the first “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” book enough to continue the series… same with the “Inheritance” series. I started on the “Wheel of Time” series by Robert Jordan… almost 17 years ago now? Still haven’t finished it. He died before he finished the series, and another author took over and finally finished it a couple of years ago, but I’d have to go back and re-read them from the start if I ever want to finish it.

I loved the idea behind Daughter of Smoke and Bone but I hate the pairing so much! And the way it is handled and everything.
I’m always conflicted with another author taking over. Maybe they’ll write exactly the same way but I still feel like “but it’s not the original…”.

The Inheritance Cycle is quite difficult to finish! The Maze Runner is on my TBR, though I probably shouldn’t start another series at the moment haha.

I remember how much I loved the first part of it as a child. And then a few years later I read it again but dnf-ed… There are just too many interesting series out there, you can’t possibly keep up.

If you are interested in the Maze Runner series… maybe your local library has it? The first was really great but the second and third… well.
Thanks for linking to your list.

Same here. I’ve read The Inheritance so many years ago… And with Maze Runner… the problem to me was just how similar the different books are.
Thanks for linking your list.
