Top Ten Tuesday: Last ten books that came into my possession

This is a meme I have seen a lot on other blogs and I always found it to be an interesting read, so I want to participate too.

It was created by The Broke and The Bookish, if you want to participate take a look at their blog.

As you can see, this week’s theme are books that somehow came into my possession; bought, checked out of a library, arcs, gifts… you name it.

I know, a whole series as a gift? Was it my birthday? Nope. Do people randomly give me books? I wish. Imagine you’re walking somewhere and a person comes up to you and says ‘here, have this book. You might like it.’

This year my girlfriend and I decided to exchange books for our anniversary (we decided on a money limit) and I got the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series and other books. You have to love used bookstores, right? If you’re interested, I bought her two books of the In the darkest minds series (they were new, don’t look at me, she wanted hardcover and those are pricey). And yes, she read the first book and made me buy them myself and I’m really happy, because I love it.

  1. Aww that’s cute that you and your girlfriend gave books as gifts for your anniv! I LOVED Daughter of Smoke and Bone and it was one of my favorite reads the year it came out. I fell in love with Laini Taylor’s descriptions of Prague. I reread it a few months ago, right before visiting Prague, and it’s still as good as I remembered.
