Book To Movie Adaptations

As always this meme is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Go and take a look at their blog!

I am on time this week!

Book to movie adaption I am really looking forward to

I know, this poster is fanmade but it is so incredibly fitting… Reason for being on my list? Deadpool! ’nuff said.

Fantastic beasts and where to find them is another adaption I am excited for. But I haven’t read it yet…

I have seen the movie but haven’t read the book

I’m not sure if I’ll read Divergent… I have heard some not so great things about the last book? Maybe my local library owns it…

As for The Perks of being a wallflower… someday.

Book to movie adaptions I want to happen

Cut & Run and Hell or High Water would work better as a tv series, I think. In the Company of Shadows… maybe too, maybe not. I don’t know.

How to be a normal Person would make a great movie!

The darkest midns would be of course a trilogy. One, I couldn’t wait for the next parts.

The Elven… maybe just that one book as a movie?

Would you watch this movies/tv series? Have you seen them?

What are the book to movie adaptions you can’t wait for or want to happen?

    • Yes, I did! And I thought it was real, so I was really devastated when I scrolled and saw it was fanmade and there is no series…. It would have been so f-ing great!!!
But at least Deadpool is real and it seems like they’re doing a great job with his character!

  1. Divergent’s okay. I’ve read the first two, and liked-but-not-loved them. I’ve had the third one spoiled for me (but who hasn’t?) so I’m not really in any rush to read it. Probably worth borrowing rather than buying, if you’re going to read them. I’m the opposite to you with The Perks of Being a Wallflower – I’ve read the book but not seen the film. The book didn’t quite work for me, but I seem to be in a bit of a minority in how I feel about it.

    • I just took a look at my library’s homepage. If I am to read divergent I have to do it in german, because they don’t own the english editions (there aren’t really a lot of english editions there, sadly). We’ll see.

The movie was really emotional (at least to me, there were tears involved) and I think I had an extract of the book somewhere… but I don’t know if I actually read that sample or not.

  2. I am with you when it comes to Divergent. I don’t think I’ll ever end up reading it. I was spoiled so that was awful, but the movies definitely steal peak my interest 🙂

    • I really liked Divergent as a movie and I plan on watching the others. It’s sad because the first few chapters of the book were really gread (I read an extract on Amazon), but starting a series and knowing it will get worse and worse? :/
